RANGE: Southern Ontario, Canada, and most of the eastern U.S.

HABITAT, ROOSTS, AND MIGRATION: Evening bats live in tree cavities; behind loose tree bark; and in hollow trees, man-made structures, and buildings. This species does not inhabit caves. Little is known about hibernation or migration for this species. Northern populations may migrate to the southern states for the winter.

DIET: Various small insects

REPRODUCTION: Pups are born in May or June, and twins are common.
